Hyundai Ioniq 5
RWD 72.6 kWh
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 RWD 72.6 kWh was tested at night in Thailand at around 24 °C, where it covered 444 km at 90 km/h. This stripped-down Thai version lacks built-in navigation and ventilated seats, and it used more energy than the AWD tested in Norway, possibly because of the rough concrete roads. Rear-wheel drive appears to save little, since the AWD can already decouple its front motor, and a Tesla Model Y is more efficient. The test did not end in a recommendation for this Ioniq 5 in Thailand.
