Range test

Tesla Model Y

RWD (2022)

At 18 °C in Norway, the Shanghai-built Tesla Model Y RWD used 143 Wh/km at 90 km/h, for a range of 397 km. That was clearly worse than an earlier 90 km/h test of the same version in Thailand, a gap attributed partly to the 20-inch wheels here and the tinted windows there. At 120 km/h it used 202 Wh/km, more than the Long Range, though that car had different wheels and tyres and warmer weather. In the noise measurements it was the quietest Model Y tested so far, on a par with premium German cars.
