Kia EV5

Long Range FWD

In a night-time test at around 12 °C, the Kia EV5 Long Range FWD covered 419 km at 90 km/h, only 79% of its WLTP range. About 450 km seems possible at 20 °C, but consumption rose almost 40% at 120 km/h, likely because of the boxy shape. The space for a 4.6 m car won praise, but the infotainment was slow. Charging stayed flat at up to 150 kW, and overall the EV5 came across as practical but less plush and high-tech than an Xpeng or Zeekr.
