Hongqi E-HS7
111 kWh AWD
The Hongqi E-HS7 111 kWh AWD covered 544 km at 90 km/h at a mild 17 °C, one of the longest ranges in the winter-season tests. It proved fairly thirsty, but its big battery still gives decent range. The rear-wheel steering, huge rear seat and a price about half that of a Polestar 3 were pluses, and the sound system earned six out of ten. The catch is the software: lane centring kept pulling to one side, cruise control braked hard near trucks or for no reason, and the haptic buttons were fiddly.
