BYD Sealion 7
82.5 kWh AWD Design
The BYD Sealion 7 82.5 kWh AWD covered 446 km at 90 km/h in a test in Thailand at around 20 °C, close to its WLTP range. It still proved thirsty, especially at 120 km/h, with the dual-motor drivetrain the likely cause; eco mode made little difference. The quiet cabin, a well-balanced ride and the best adaptive cruise control yet experienced in a BYD, which hardly slows down in curves, all impressed. Fast charging slowed earlier on a hot drive, which was taken as a sign of limited battery cooling.
