BYD Seal
Excellence AWD
The BYD Seal Excellence AWD lost only 15% of its range between 90 and 120 km/h, the smallest drop of any car in the range tests. At 90 km/h it managed 404 km in a night-time test at around 12 °C, a disappointing result next to the Tesla Model 3 and the similarly heavy BMW i4 M50. The likely culprit is the permanent all-wheel drive, as both motors stayed active even in eco mode. The ride was quiet and comfortable, but the lane assist proved unreliable in curves and the Dynaudio sound system sounded somewhat muffled.
