Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV
AMG 53 4Matic+
Despite its 687 hp, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV AMG 53 4Matic+ covered 449 km at 90 km/h in the summer test at around 16 °C. It even used less energy than the EQE SUV 350 4Matic tested earlier in colder weather, as the AMG cruises on its rear motor alone. The quiet, comfortable air suspension and the Burmester sound system won praise, and it coasted surprisingly well, but the swipe controls on the steering wheel did not convince. Conclusion: choosing the most powerful version carries no efficiency penalty.
