Mercedes-Benz CLA
350 4Matic
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 350 4Matic went 628 km at 90 km/h at just 12 °C, one of the longest ranges in the summer tests. It also loses less range at 120 km/h than most cars, which is put down to its slippery shape and a two-speed gearbox. Thanks to its bigger battery it goes further than a Tesla Model 3 Highland, even if the Tesla is still slightly more efficient. Comfort and soundproofing were strengths, while the fiddly touch controls, inconsistent fast-charging speeds and a flickering headlight on the test car drew criticism.
